DOT Maintenance Facility

- Overview
- This 48-acre, $10 million complex was designed to consolidate the maintenance functions of the Division 3 Maintenance Facility into one 62,000 square foot complex. With four buildings, the complex houses sign fabrication, signal repair, equipment maintenance, office space and warehouse space. The facility was designed to function as a command center for the coastal divion in the case of a hurricane or other natural disaster.
Kerr Lake State Park

- This project involved master planning the expansive Kerr Lake State Park. The park is spread out over forty miles with seven separate parks. Improvements were made on all seven sites. Projects included campsites, boat ramps and courtesy docks, a pier, community buildings, shower facilities, toilet buildings, a swim beach, an ampitheatre, nature trails, and an administration and visitors center.

- This facilty serves North Carolina's Department of Corrections as a pharmacy for the state-wide prison facility, a training center for DOC employees, administrative offices for the department, and a custom- sprinkled storage area for flammable materials.

- This project involved master planning the expansive Kerr Lake State Park. The park is spread out over forty miles with seven separate parks. Improvements were made on all seven sites. Projects included campsites, boat ramps and courtesy docks, a pier, community buildings, shower facilities, toilet buildings, a swim beach, an ampitheatre, nature trails, and an administration and visitors center.

- This building earned Smith Sinnett a Certificate of Merit from the State Building Commission. The 20,000 square foot facility was designed as a training center for North Carolina's law enforcement personnel. Among its provisions are a law library, class and seminar rooms outfitted as law labs, and a state-of-the-art learning center fully-equipped for video conferencing facility and linked to the North Carolina Information Highway Network.
