Coastal Carolina Community College’s Math & Science Technology Building includes an academic wing with laboratories, an administrative wing, and a student commons area. In addition to housing faculty offices, laboratories, and lecture rooms, the program goals included preserving an open space for outdoor events, linking the new building to the existing campus with a pedestrian connector, and creating an exciting new image for campus buildings, while respecting the scale, color, and texture of existing campus facilities.
This project was recognized by the American School & University Magazine for Outstanding Design. It was also named a Project of Distinction by College Planning & Management Magazine and School Planning & Management.
