McLeansville Regional Readiness Center: A New Hub for the NC National Guard
Smith Sinnett Architecture is leading the design and master planning of the new McLeansville Regional Readiness Center for the NC National Guard. The 65-acre site will include a 75,000 SF Readiness Center, a 30,000 SF Field Maintenance Shop, and several supporting accessory buildings.
The Readiness Center will serve as a regional hub and consolidate multiple armories and units from across the state. As a result, it will improve efficiency and strengthen operations while also serving the needs of nearby communities.
The building will include administrative offices, classrooms, an assembly hall, a kitchen, fitness areas, locker rooms, and secure unit storage. The facility will also include a guard shack, retention ponds, a future helipad location, military-owned vehicle parking, and a perimeter running track.
Both buildings follow sustainable design standards. The Field Maintenance Shop will pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification.
Altogether, the McLeansville Regional Readiness Center campus delivers modern, durable infrastructure that meets evolving mission demands. Through thoughtful planning and design, it ensures long-term value for both the Guard and the communities it serves.
