Smith Sinnett Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to join our Raleigh studio. For 50 years, we have partnered with communities across North Carolina to design K-12, higher education, civic, state, municipal, public safety, and community-centered facilities. Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural development of projects through all phases of design and construction
- Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound project document
- Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, details, and other construction documents
- Coordinate architectural work with consultants and internal project team members
- Support code analysis, quality control, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
- Prepare and present design concepts, diagrams, renderings, and project materials for client and stakeholder review
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, work plans, and technical coordination
- Collaborate with firm leaders and project managers to deliver high-quality design and exceptional client service
- Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging professionals
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Architectural licensure preferred or active pursuit required
- Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and construction documentation
- Experience with sustainable building rating systems
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and various rendering software
- Experience with public-sector projects is a plus
