The project includes an interior renovation and front addition to the 21,000 SF Elsee Building on Johnston Community College’s main campus. Originally built in 1976, the facility is being modernized to support the college’s nursing and health sciences programs through a reconfigured floor plan featuring updated classrooms, nursing labs, an immersion room, faculty offices, student support spaces, and expanded restrooms.

A new 3,000 SF addition will create a welcoming entry vestibule, lobby, and event space, strengthening the building’s presence within the campus core. Exterior improvements and site enhancements will align with campus architectural standards, while interior upgrades include new finishes, systems updates, and targeted slab and roof modifications to support long-term flexibility and functionality.
