A New Destination for Training, Ceremonies, and State Highway Patrol History
Following completion of a conceptual study, Smith Sinnett Architecture is designing a new 33,000-square-foot Auditorium and Museum for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Training Academy campus in Raleigh.
The facility will feature a 500-seat, two-level auditorium designed to support training programs, ceremonies, and special events. An integrated museum will showcase historic patrol vehicles and memorabilia, preserving the organization’s legacy while sharing its history with future generations.
Additional program elements include 3,600 square feet of flexible, subdividable classroom and training space, along with a spacious lobby and reception area, rooftop terrace, conference room, workroom, breakroom, storage, restrooms, and supporting spaces. Together, these components will create a distinctive destination for education, public engagement, and recognition of the State Highway Patrol’s service to North Carolina.
